Unicode characters paste into any field that accepts regular text input. Each platform has specific rules, limits, and behaviors worth knowing before you commit to a style.

Discord operates two completely separate text systems. Markdown formatting
(**bold**, _italic_, ~~strikethrough~~) only works inside message threads. Unicode font
styles work in display names, server nicknames, "About Me" sections, and status text โ not in the
account username field, which only accepts plain characters.
Discord's content filters have become stricter since 2023. Gothic and Fraktur characters are the most
stable in Discord. Heavy glitch and combining-mark styles are most likely to be rejected or stripped

TikTok supports Unicode styles in bios and display names. The bio limit is 160 characters.
